An exciting Brand Manager role has just become available at one of the worldwide-known food FMCG companies. For our client, the Swiss subsidiary (placed in Zürich area) of this international manufacturer of top brands, we are looking for a

Brand Manager (FMCG)

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulates and implements the annual Brand Plans, focused on achieving the maximum potential of the brand
  • Drive consumer-centric solutions using data and insight to build brand awareness, reach and trial with consumers
  • Operrational implementation of all media related topics on social, digital and traditional platforms, including setting briefs and managing agencies
  • Leads the tactical plan development (alignment with all relevant stakeholders)
  • Gathers insights on current and future needs (market research, internal dashboards, external stakeholders
  • Owning the product management of the brand, incl. portfolio, range extensions, NPD development
  • Develops, implements and evaluates an integrated communication plan for the brand and uses the APL budgets in a measurable, effective and efficient manner.
  • Participates in meetings with Group Marketing, Media, Distributor, Communication and Research agencies
  • Regularly plans meetings with factories, SCM, Regulatory, trade marketing/sales focused on improving quality, packaging, new products and promotions
  • Regularly plans meetings with internal stakeholders and agencies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of below-the-line activities
  • Analyses and reports the status oft he brand (ex-factory and GFK/Nielsen information), competitor activities (including media expenditure), market developments, innovation ratios, A&P update, activity schedules and consumer insights, on a regular basis

Key Requirements

  • Diploma in Marketing, Economy or Communication (HF or FH, Bachelor or Master)
  • 3 years+ experience in Product- or Brand Management, ideally within FMCG industry
  • Experience in the creative, design and implementation of NPD’s
  • Knowledge of brand building tools, digital advertising and communication development and strategies
  • Ability to analyse and interpret market research and make solid conclusions
  • Effective interpersonal communication and consultative skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong results focus and strong analytical skills
  • Entrepreneurial and business driven mind-set
  • (Swiss)-German as mother tongue, fluency in English, ability to understand French

  • The Brand Manager will be part oft he Marketing team (Switzerland) and will report to the Sr. Area Manager Marketing and Sales (Switzerland)
